Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to the actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first television roles were two times on the show as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne as the character played by her mom. The actress was not permitted to start acting with her parents till she reached an adulthood stage, because they feared the strain it might cause. Perry admitted that she was too shy to act during high school, but started doing shows at Northwestern University as a way to connect with people following her transfer from Boston University. Perry started her acting career in New York after graduation, landing minor roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, her home-sickness forced Perry come back to California to pursue work as a theatre actress. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway with her mother. In 2015, Perry appeared along with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. In 2017, she played an recurring role in The ABC Political thriller Scandal which starred her father. In the same year, she played a young version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother in a youthful version. The role was given to her through audition, in spite of the fact that she was a cousin to the role.
